Meet Real life Santa aur Banta

Scenario 1 :

Abhi meets his old friend Ginni.
Ginni: A & B, A & B, A & B, A & B, A & B.

Abhi: Oye, iska matlab?
Ginni: Kuch nahin yaar
, I mean long time no C.

Scenario 2:

While walking in the highlands Abhi fell down a deep hole.
Ginni: R u ok?

Abhi: Yeah!
Ginni: Did u break anything?
Abhi: No, there's nothing down
here

Reading these lines above you might think that it is narration of two random, funny and stupid guys who love to hang together and live the life in their own way, which lot of you will call stupid and weird , but this was the best introduction I could thought for this person I am trying to talk about

Honestly firstly it is not true and it is not stupid but really beautiful as when it come to me and ginni (aka Simant or rest of the world knows as mirrored image of Mr. Amitabh Bacchan in terms of excellence) we are so pure and honest to each other as friends that we don’t need to pretend anything or we don’t need to show something that we are not

The point is life is simple, funny and candid with simant, he is one person in my life as my friend , my buddy and someone who has always been there to listen and listen more ( yes! Sometime he say a lot as well , and never stops) but something parallel to it is as when he is speaking you are not listening but laughing and dying out of laughter as that copyrighted intense and innocence (at same time) humor is unique talent or gift this dude has, one this is true that he is a true timepass for lot of people but for few luckily one (like me) he is a honest friend and a real asset, there are millions of things that are special and typical about simant which makes him unforgettable and the reason I am writing this blog entry is recently I was looking back in time (yes, yes, I do some reflection some time) and I was missing those moment of pure passion we had in my EB day with lot of those guys including this gentlemen “ Simant Vijay”.

Coming back to some specialty about simant, he is full power house of energy and pranks, he is one who can drink a bottle of vodka for a MC championship and then puke like pregnant woman and ultimately hug you and then you are all responsible to take him to his room and drop him to take some rest (“mein is liye hi hanuman ji ka bahkt hu, kyon ki aise dosto ko uthana padta hai bhai”). He is also someone who will feel like taking you and other another essential part of blood circulation for him “The Kid” to roof of house and sit their whole cold dark windy night and keep staring to east for sun to rise with long conversations on life and what friendship means for us three.

If someday the number of hours me and ginni has spent at Mr. Beans or at Barista, it will be longer then Jackie chan casting in another movie call “around the world in 8000 Years”

Sometime you will see him coming to you will fallen face and you can clearly guess that is not because of listening to himesh Reashmiya, but it is because in his life again the whole bollywood Drama went by – “ as soon as he saw someone he think he likes, the wedding bells start ringing for him , the only song he can hear and make you listen is “ koi mil gaya” and then from their mere bhai all the series of kuch kuch hota hai to , “coffee with karan– make a point it is last sip” chalu ho jata hai

Aur yeah sab tab ja kar ruktha hai , jab mein ya kid is kyo yaad dilate hai ki “ saale is chakkar mein maat aa, kyo ki “ yaha par kabhi khusi kabhi gham hai , aur phir ginni ko to gham jyada hai” , jaise jeevan ram ji nagpur waale kirana waale ki sale lage ho = total devdas preparation package

Thode din ke baad, to hum aap ke hai kaun se hum dil de chuke sanam ka bhoot utar jatha hai

Phir hamara ginni phir se hamara ho jata hai

Anyways jokes apart one thing is sure that I am really lucky to have a person like that as my friend as he has always supported and stood next to me whenever I needed and even when I didn’t needed J

You know when we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

And today I take this opportunity to thank this individual for it, Thanks ginni

Below you can see the two dudes chilling and enjoying the journey called life

Microsoft Should Make Cars, Gm Should Make Software

At a recent computer expo, Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated: “If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving twenty-five dollar cars that got 1000 miles to the gallon.” In response to Bill’s comments/General Motors issued a press release stating the following: “If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would be driving cars with the following characteristics:

1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day.

2. Every time they repainted the lines on the road, you would have to buy a new car.

3. Occasionally, your car would die on the freeway for no reason, and you would accept this, restart, and drive on.

4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart;

in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.

5. Only one person at a time could use the car, unless you bought ‘Car95' or ‘CarNT.’ Then you would have to buy

more seats.

6. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was more reliable, five times as fast, and twice as easy to drive, but would only run on five percent of the roads.

7. The oil, water, temperature and alternator warning lights would be replaced by a single ‘general car fault’ warning light.

8. New seats would force everyone to have the same butt size.

9. The airbag system would say ‘Are you sure?’ before going off.

10. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.

11. GM would require all car buyers to also purchase a deluxe set of Rand McNally road maps (now a GM subsidiary), even though they neither need them nor want them. Attempting to delete this option would immediately cause the car’s performance to diminish by 50 per cent or more.

12. Every time GM introduced a new model, car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.

13. You’d press the ‘Start’ button to shut off the engine.

14. Hit Undo to go Reverse

F.R.I.E.N.D.S - I'll be there for you

Friendship is a promise spoken only by the heart.
It isn't given by any pledge, it isn't written on paper,
but friendship is a promise renewed everytime two friends
meet, and smile, and enjoy the good times that come
simply from being together. It's a promise to share
the good times and the bad and a promise to think
of each other fondly whether near or far apart.
Friendship is a promise spoken only by the heart.
A promise you and I will always share.....

This is how i feel for Vendy, aka The Kid

Meeting kid during my recent india visit was like meeting your own soul, looking in mirror or getting that "one tight slap" once promoted by Channel [V] , she is one person in life who doesn't knows the blend of emotions or right thing at right time

but one thing is true , she is Always there and no matter how bad your feel , he will get you out of it, ..nah ! not by making you feel good , but making you FEEL so horribly BAD that you will get in guilt of feeling bad :P

but i want to thank her for all the moments, the words , the efforts you have done for me , you are one i will never forget

Thanks Dost , i am sure ginni is expecting me to write something for him on blog in next 72 hours or i should consider my self dead , koi na ginni jaldi aa raha hai tera edition bhi

chalo , kabhi alvida na khena ...( not the worst movie of time)

Sabka Chotu
Last week was Diwali , ask any indian what it means

Basically, What is Diwali :
Diwali, also called Deepavali (Sanskrit: दीपावली) is a major Hindu festival that is also very significant in Sikhism and Jainism. Known as the "Festival of Lights," it symbolises the victory of good over evil, and lamps are lit as a sign of celebration and hope for mankind.

Read more here

But for AI 06-07 it was more beautiful, I was able to organize a small celebration in my room with team members joining in.

We had some great time which involved people being dressed in Indian clothes

All room being arranged in festive spirit of Diwali with more then 200 Candles in my room, all room lit up with light

Awesome Indian food and desert (this time it was not common white milk balls) AI members know what I mean

And followed by watching a Bollywood movie together with team “Lagaan” , the movie subtitled "Once upon a time in India", is an award-winning movie made in India, and nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The plot of movie is on situation of India in per-independence era (1853) and some interesting tournament of Cricket.

This was awesome chance as team got not just glimpse of Bollywood but as well the crazy sport we (me, Amit and Ryan) play in office, popularly called as Cricket

Man I can very gladly say, this was diwali when I didn’t missed the fact that I was not in my country, and it is all because of all guys who came,

Thanks guys , you gave me a beautiful moment for life time

Abhi :)

Monday, April 03, 2006

Well I was exhausted and , randomly surfing ..and I just happen to stumble upon something …very interesting

On someone’s blog, I found the song “summer of 69” expressed in the best Desi style.

This song is special for lot of reasons ..and shashaank this one is for you man !!

Check it out

------------------------------

Sambhar of 69

Just couldn't resist putting this on ......

I had my first real six rupees,
Stole it from my father's pants.
went to a madrasi hotel,
to eat the sambhar of 69.
Me and some kadke dost,

had it all and we caught bukhaar,
jimy puked, joey got ulcers,
and Bagga ne maari dakar.

Oh when I went back there now,
the food was as stale as ever,
and though it was 1999,
still the sambhar was being served over there,

that was the worst food of my life.

Therez no use in complaining,
when you got no other place to eat,
rushed in the evening to the doctors clinic,
but he too was at the toilet seat, yeah

standing there waiting outside,
nurse told me I will wait forever,
oh and when I held my breath,
I knew that I had to use that loo there
That was the worst food of my life.

Back to the sambhar of 69.

Man I was getting killed,
I was full and restless,
I needed to unwind,
I guess nothing can wait forever - FOREVER... NO!!!!

And now the dhabas are changing,
new dishes have come and gone,
sometimes when I pass that old madrasi lane,
I still smell it, I can't be wrong.

Standing in those unwashed clothes,
the waiters still call me in there,
oh the way my nostrils burn,
I know that it will be served forever,
what was the worst food of my life.

yeah it was the sambhar of 69,

the sambhar, the sambhar, the sambhar of 69

i cannot believe that
actually its only 14 days left for me to finish my term in Poland and return
back to Home, I know whatever happens , is happening for good.. (thanks to all
the motivating speechs and books..atleast i think now this way)  but really,  If
the application for visa extension would have been on time,  I would have been
not supposed to leave all of sudden , and it would have not resulted in change
of plans.  All the things I thought I will be able to do … , But NOT NOW.

Well the
priorities have changes, cutting short period by 1.5 month, means that last 15
days and still next 15 days will remain to be Hectic and tough,  working on
finishing my plans in my areas for the year, completing the development projects
running , doing transition parallel, and not to forget my preparations for next
steps. ..all goes now together,

But as I wrote
above all happens for good ,  this is the Real time lesson of huge multi-tasking
and Stress management ,  and I am still happy and facing it,

I will quote,
the words which  have got on my  desktop these days with my picture, That Keeps me Going on ...
“ What we
think or what we believe is, in the end of little consequence. The only thing of
consequence is what we DO “
so Enjoy your work

Might Take Some Time

The first time you try it, it's an attempt.

The second time you try it, it's stubbornness. Better be sensible.

The third time you try it, it's madness. God help you.

The fourth time you try it, it's persistence. All the best.

The fifth time you try it, you're a failure. Stop trying.

The sixth time you try it, you win. Look up and smile.

And now if you do it, it's entirely your business. Let's Mind our Business

Innovative ideas

Well just got a mail consisting of the funny one liners....seems people hv got very funny and innovative ideas to sell their products and services......

# Sign on a railway station in Patna:
Aana free, jaana free, Pakde gaye to khana free.

#Seen on a famous parlour in Mumbai:
Don't whistle at the girl going out from here.
She may be your grandmother

# Seen on a bulletin board:
Success is relative
More the success, more the relatives.

# Sign at barber's saloon in Juhu, Mumbai:
We need your heads to run our business.

#A traffic slogan:
Don't let your kids drive if they are not old enough - or else they, never will be ...

#Seen at a Coffin maker shop:
People are dying to use our services!!

#The last & the best one from the Indian Armed Forces:
"It's God's responsibility to forgive the terrorist organizations.
It's our responsibility to arrange the meeting between them and god".

Man , kabhi kabhi lagta hai ...life mein innovation aur humour ka combination ..kitna ..majedaar hota hai

mujhe yaad hai woh din ..jab mein apne EB (EB 2003-04, AIESEC in Jaipur Rocks !!!) ke saath Mr. Beans par .. waqt bitta tha .

those ..days of bitching .., talking ...killing time ..., Staying Together ...

Were best days of my life ... and as shash might sing .."Back in Summer of 69"

Love -Abhi

Girlfriend ...Boyfriend Tensions

A popular and slick and busy eating joint .Well lit. Big flat screen television playing in a corner. Round little shining tables with nice angular chairs around it . A guy and a girl seated around a table.

The guy reaches into a paper bag and pulls out a box of chocolates.

Scenario 1 -

Guy ( handing over the box to the girl ) – Hey , I got this for you , I guess you like chocolates.

Girl – Oh, Thank you ! I love them.

*Girl thinks – Ueee ma , it would be fun eating all of these chocolates .Ek ek ko chaba daalungi.Calorie consciousness gayi tel lene*

Scenario 2 -

Guy ( handing over the box to the girl ) – Hey , I got this for you , I guess you like chocolates.

Girl – Oh, Thank you ! I love them.

*Girl thinks – Ueee ma , I am again accepting gifts from him , but over the last three weeks , he has been a little cold . Since the time that new girl with the colored hair has joined our classes , he has not been his normal self .See , even the chocolates he has gifted are Cadburys , why could not he gift me those Swiss ones….maybe he hates me now that I have put on weight . Hell , I am so scared and anxious now , these chocolates look as tasty as a Dettol soap to me.*

Nah , my brain is not having one of its “go wild with imagination” exercises today , one of these scenarios happened with me today , and it was it was scenario 1 , and I humbly suggest she should start off on an intercontinental jog tomorrow morning for all those calorie infested chocolates she relished without offering me much of them .

And it makes me appreciate how much more delightful a simple guy-gal friendship , rather than a “coochie coochie –more than friendship-ishq vishq” , is .

I mean , kasam Bhawani ki , the “expectations/possession” ka funda that creeps when a girl is your girlfriend and not just a friend is one wierd issue , atleast with a ‘tension-nahi’ types insaan like me. I mean , I gifted her chocolates because she is a friend , and I wanted her to have fun gobbling them up , and that is that. And this kind of relation is so simple , natural and free of muddled feelings and assumed expectations.

But the moment a ‘proposal and acceptance’ takes place between a guy and a girl , things are transformed. Suddenly the girl, who was a friend till yesterday is a girlfriend . Till last Sunday , Rahul and Shruti were classmates in college . Rahul called Shruti his friend. Then Rahul proposed and Shruti accepted. Now Rahul calls Shruti “My girl”. I mean , yeh “My girl” kya hota hai Rahul Kaka , yeh koi cycle hai , ki “my cycle” ?

Then if Shruti decides goes out on a lunch with her ‘barso ka dost’ vineet , Rahul narrows his eyes and asks her “Tera koi chakkar hai kya uske saath?” and promises to throw export quality acid on her if the answer is in the affirmative.

If Rahul does not send Shruti a bunch of fresh roses on the anniversary of the day they first met in the physics lab , Shruti calls him up in the evening , says Hello , then coughs , sobs and breaks into a long wail which ends in “You are not the same , Rahul” or something to that effect followed by a violent slamming down of the phone.

And Hanuman Jee na kare , if Shruti goes out to shop and spots Rahul riding his bike with a pretty girl on the backseat , she will throw dangerously heavy things at Rahul till he shows her the birth certificate of that girl to prove that it was his sister he was going to drop at her maths tution classes.

I mean , dekho jee , I have minimal experience of having a girlfriend , and considering my state of existence , I don’t think I will have too much experience in this and the next few lifetimes. But to my underdeveloped dimaag , a simple friendship is a very direct , expressed and delightful relationship to have . Maybe all these complications between Rahul and Shruti would not happen , and they will trust each other come what may , and that is very comforting and kaleje ko thanda karne wali thought . But I guess it is cool to let feelings grow naturally without the thing of “having to do it” because he/she is your girlfriend/boyfriend. A true feeling needs no promise , and no promise can make an untrue feeling survive , so why promise and build expectations and lead to unfulfilled ones ?

You can yell “sour grapes , sour grapes” for me now. Infact , I am such a girlfriend-less guy , that even a forest of sour grapes may seem to be the reason behind my thinking . Maybe I am just too immature to handle all the responsibility and promises a commitment demands . But in my opinion , one can be more easy , be a lot more frank , and a lot more natural with a girl who is just happy to see a box of chocolates instead of worried over some new girl with the colored hair.
